Raymond James welcomes New York advisor team managing approximately $480 million in assets
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed a team of three financial advisors to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent advisor channel – according to Ted Desautels, Northeast assistant division director for RJFS.
The team, comprised of Alex Lerner, Joseph Matovick and Oscar Manrique, was previously affiliated with Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network where they managed approximately $480 million in client assets. They are joined by registered client service associate Vladimir Zusman and operate as LKMM, based in Brooklyn, New York, with additional presence in Bay Harbor, Florida. They provide comprehensive wealth management, retirement planning and investment guidance for individuals, families, business owners and retirees. The team is also recognized as a 2026 Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Management Team.
“Our move to Raymond James reflects our commitment to delivering a more independent, client-focused experience,” said Lerner. “The firm gives us the freedom to tailor strategies with greater flexibility while continuing to provide the thoughtful, high-touch guidance our clients have come to expect.”
Lerner has nearly three decades of industry experience and joins RJFS after 16 years at his previous firm. His background includes extensive advisory work serving high‑net‑worth families and business owners across New York and Florida.
Matovick began his financial services career in 1995. He served at his previous firm since 2010 and brings substantial experience in retirement planning and personalized investment strategy to his role at Raymond James.
Manrique brings more than two decades of industry experience to the LKMM team. His advisory work includes retirement planning, investment strategy and long‑term goal alignment for clients throughout Staten Island and greater New York.

The 2026 Forbes ranking of America’s Best-In-State Wealth Management Teams, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. This ranking is based upon the period from 3/31/2024 to 3/31/2025 and was released on 01/07/2026. Advisor teams that are considered must have one advisor with a minimum of seven years of experience, have been in existence as a team for at least one year, have at least 5 team members, and have been nominated by their firm. The algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criteria due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Out of approximately 12,787 team nominations, 6,149 advisor teams received the award based on thresholds.
